The Little Guy's First Boat Ride

It has been a time of firsts for our little guy the last few months, and he had another one this past weekend...he had his first boat ride! We weren't quite sure (okay, Mommy wasn't quite sure) if we wanted to take him out on the water quite yet, but when we got to Lake Conroe on Saturday, the weather and water were perfect for his first voyage. We fitted him with his newborn life jacket and hit the water. After he realized that the life jacket wasn't attacking him, he loved the whole experience! He takes everything in when we take him new places, and Saturday was no different. His main focus was on his Daddy. You could tell by the look on his face that he was trying desperately to figure out what his Daddy was doing with that "stick" and "string" in his hand! Honestly, we knew he really liked it when, after about half an hour, he was done taking it all in and decided to take a nap...he decided to fish more like his Mommy than his Daddy his first day on the lake!
