Mario & Minnie Mouse

Mario and Minnie Mouse visited our house this month.



The kids got a chance to wear their costumes twice this year, officially at least, since Garrett has been wearing his every chance he gets ever since it set foot in our house.

They wore them to a fun birthday party for their buddy, Ryder.



Grace's favorite part of the party was bobbing for apples. If you look closely at the pictures, you'll see that her face is covered in water. She was drenched by the end of the game (and had touched ever single apple in the bucket!).







Her hunger for food and sanitary measures continued to the cookie decorating part of the party where she quickly started tasting the sprinkles and then returning the spoon to the bowl before any of the adults around her could stop her. Minnie was apparently hungry and taking matters into her own hands.



Mario and Minnie Mouse reappeared at our house Monday night when we headed out to our church's fall festival.



The night was full of horseback riding...



inflatable climbing...



and beyond fun bungee trampoline jumping...









I stood in line, with a ton of other "line holding parents", while Jeff took the kids around to the other games. When it came time for Garrett's turn, they harnessed him in and away he jumped. Once his turn was over, Jeff asked the man if little sister could take a turn. I had no idea he was going to ask this and fully expected the man to say "no". The man unexpectedly said "yeah, sure!" Grace didn't hesitate a second. The girl is fearless! They harnessed her in, and she was off! The smile on her face was from ear to ear! The people standing around were smiling, too. When she made her first big bounce, everyone started clapping and cheering. I'm pretty sure Grace would have jumped for the crowd all night long if we would have let her.













The bungee trampoline was the highlight of Grace's night. The highlight for Garrett though was when the live show inside featured none other than an actual Mario and Luigi. He was about to burst to get to meet them!







We had one happy Mario and Minnie Mouse on our hands on the way home!
