Our Little Wild Man

Things here at the Wright house are basically a contrast in children. We have one child who sleeps and eats all of the time, while our other child is reminding us constantly that he's two and our little WILD MAN! He proved it over the 4th of July, when we had our first experience of "the boys and the girls". Jeff took Garrett with him to visit family for the day, while the girls stayed here and were bums in our pjs. The guys played in the sun. The girls watched chick flicks, and I explained the art of toenail painting to her while she relaxed in her bouncer.

The guys spent some time at a family reunion for Nana's side of the family and then ended the day visiting PaPa and Oma at the lake. While at the lake, Garrett got really intrigued by the jet ski. Before now, he had completely ignored it and focused only on driving the boat. Not anymore. I think he's a jet ski kid. Jeff and PaPa let him climb all over it and explore while it was still next to the dock, but that wasn't enough for him. He wanted to get moving on the thing. So, with life jackets on and a jet ski full of gas, my two guys headed off for a wild adventure! Jeff assures me that they didn't go very fast at all and only rode right outside the wake zone. Hmmm....

Jeff said the highlight was when Garrett discovered the throttle and drove them in circles forever making huge waves! He LOVED it! Our little wild man was in his element! :-)

So cute! That was one of my favorite things when Jack was a newborn. Jamie would take Juliet out for the day and Jack and I would just hang around the house together (mostly sleeping and eating). Good times!
